Application Procedure

1. Objective
In view of urgent need in Japan to further promote basic and clinical studies on cerebrovascular disorders, the Fund provides research grants to the researchers to financially assist them conduct their studies, and thereby aims to contribute to the progress of medical sciences and human welfare.

2. Projects to be Funded
Basic or clinical studies relating to cerebrovascular disorders conducted by promising researchers.
Applications are accepted only on recommendation basis.

3. Research Grant

Number of recipient: One researcher
Grant: 10 million Yen.

4. Application Procedure
Applicants can apply only on recommendation basis. Recommender should submit a completed recommendation form, which can be downloaded from our website, with the applicant's information. Please note that the signatures of both applicant and recommender are required on the recommendation form.

5. Application dates
All application documents must arrive at the Trustee's office between August 1, 2017 and October 31, 2017.

6. Selection
Recipient is selected by the Steering Committee.

* Please note:

1. Research duration is one year, and the grant is to be expensed during the year accordingly. In case the research needs extended time, the researcher must submit an interim report on the work in progress to the Mihara Cerebrovascular Disorder Research Promotion Fund.

2. The award recipient is expected to submit a report on his/her research and a financial report attached with the evidences at the end of the one-year research period. In case the recipient publishes the work, he/she must indicate that it was funded by the Mihara Cerebrovascular Disorder Research Promotion Fund.

3. Abstract of the recipient's commemorative speech, curriculum vitae and a photograph of the recipient will appear on our website.
